Holiday fun

I have taken ages to get my photos up from my hollybags but here a few. Pukkelpop ended up being amazing! The weather was hot hot hot and we saw loads of bands and dj's. It was the first holiday with my mr and we had a great time, we headed to Amsterdam first which was good but wet, we did loads of sightseeing and cafe exploring. It was quite a romantic city,I defy anyone not to feel fuzzy inside when you take an evening stroll along the canals. We met a great bunch of irish people at the festival and partied the weekend away :) However due to my complete scatiness we nearly missed the flight over there in the first place, i told him i shouldn't be in charge!

J'aime Betty

I just came accross a french fashion blog called www.leblogdebetty.com. She truly has style, and the most enviable collection of boots, I especially loved her blue Office ones (last pic)she calls he 'London boots', self explanatory i think. But that bright colour just jumps out. I'm also loving the red military jacket from Topshop, and pairing it with a pastel coloured dress tones it down and makes it slightly less serious and soft. To betty, i salute you!

Vegas baby!

I am so excited, it's my birthday soon (well a month away) and we are all going to Vegas, not real desert Vegas, but a night in Glasgow where they transform clubs or in the case of my birthday, a boat into vegas for the night. Frankie Sumatra will serenade and the showgirls will entertain. I can't wait to gamble with the Elvis printed notes they hand out. Now it's all about planning the outfit, i'll post photos. I hope I look as glamorous as the ladies above!

Jonathan Saunders for Target

Our very own Jonathon Saunders, famous for the print dresses he designed for Topshop, makes fashion affordable once more as he teams up with American retail brand Target. The collection sees a reworking of the YSL Mondrian inspired print dress, and influences of (my favorite artiste) Gustav Klimt. I particuarly liked the explosive colour on this jacket/shirt?, perfect for brightening up the all the black that is forecast for autumn winter.

I want...

I came across this photo on Face Hunter and fell in love, love, love with her dress. In one outfit she nails a/w plaid and lace, i'm on the hunt now for a replica for moi. And the teensy look of Miss Stam about her makes me like it even more.

Polyvore avoids polybore-ah see what i did there?

Oh my goodness Polyvore is my new obsession! It keeps me entertained at work on a quiet rainy eveing, perhaps to the detriment of actually doing my job me thinks. I realise I am quite late at realising it exists, but thanks to fashionista.com I am in the loop. You can trawl through hundreds of pages of shoes, dresses, bags and adorable geeky glasses and then make sets. However I'm finding it a little dissapointing that after acquiring all these lovely items, they are not actually in my wardrobe. I can but dream...

Laura Marling- a cruel twist of fate

I forgot to say in my previous post that Laura Marling won't be playing at Pukkelpop. The reason this is, as i mentioned 'a cruel twist of fate', and worth mentioning at all, is that i love her! Also the fact that we had all intentions of going to Lowlands (where she is playing) but tickets have sold out. The alternative is Pukkelpop which is a week earlier. Which is exactly when Laura is coming to a town near me, and i won't be there, gutted :( Irony my dear Alanis, irony

Here is one of her lovely songs to cheer you... http://youtube.com/watch?v=XonJJbV54BE
